The 1914 Lincoln cent is a relatively common coin in the circulated grades but becomes difficult to locate in the Gem uncirculated range and is the toughest Philly-minted issue of the series in the grade of MS67 or higher. This is surely evidenced by the tiny number of MS67RDs that have been graded, and these don't come to the market very often. When they do, registry set collectors will lay down big bids for the opportunity to add this beast to their collections.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
