1933-D One Cent MS BN Values
Details
The 1933-D Lincoln cent is not a particularly scarce coin in circulated condition or even in many Mint State grades, but it does become a challenge in the higher Gem levels. This is not entirely unexpected, as this is a pre-1934 Denver-mint issue representing a period in the series when branch-mint coins weren't always saved in large quantities. This would soon change with the advent of the penny board.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
