1877 Quarter Dollar. William Barber's sailors head design similar to that used on 20 cent, half eagle and eagle patterns of 1875 and on dollar patterns of 1876. This design was also used in 1877 on dime, half dollar and dollar patterns.

Obverse: Barber’s Liberty Head facing left, wearing coronet inscribed LIBERTY, with pearl border above, hair tied back with a ribbon. IN GOD WE TRUST above, stars to left and right, 1877 below.

Reverse: Regular die of the year.
