The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Republica de Cuba series of Cuba in the World Currency contains 52 distinct entries with CPG® values between $11.00 and $6,200.00.

After the Spanish-American War, Spain ceded Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and Guam to the United States, and Cuba became a protectorate of the United States. Cuba gained formal independence from the United States on 20 May 1902, as the Republica de Cuba

(Republic of Cuba, REP). However, Cuba continued to use United States dollars as legal tender until it issued its own banknotes in 1934.

This official issuer is not to be confused with the revolutionary group La Republica de Cuba which issued notes in 1869 (B501 - B507).
