The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the $5,000 Federal Reserve Notes - Small series of Small Size Notes in the U.S. Currency contains 16 distinct entries with CPG® values between $48,000.00 and $750,000.00.

Very popular large denomination of the small-size Federal Reserve notes are the most familiar type of United States paper currency. The $5,000 bills are the rarest of all denominations (including $10,000) and were last issued with the Series of 1934 and remain quite popular today with collectors and investors. Small-size Federal Reserve notes are the sole type of paper currency presently issued by the United States government. However, the production lineup has changed significantly since the first of the Federal Reserve notes were issued under the Series of 1928. Over the course of time since the late 1920s, notes ranging in denominational values of $1 to $10,000 were printed, though today only $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 notes are made.
